Colonel Sanders to play at Thunderdome

Following the success of the colonel’s set at ultra music festival he will be kicking things up a notch with a newly confirmed performance at Thunderdome this year in the Netherlands. The booking will see the colonel delving into the darker sides of hardcore for a special 15 minute live set packed with KFC themed remixes.

We caught up with KFC’s event coordinator Kent Cook over the weekend and he had the following to say; “The wizard logo is pretty much a badass colonel sanders so it seemed like a good image fit. When I first saw their merch I actually mistook it for something we’d made. I watched some of their event videos and there were a lot of fried people dancing around like chickens, can’t get more on brand than that.”

When asking a Thunderdome insider about the announcement their response was a bit different. “We did fucking what? Oh wait yeah, Levi got fired over that. They told him to do something to suprise our fans that they would never expect. He thought it was funny, a lot of things are funny on the back of a four day bender, but he took it way too far. Gotta make the most of it I guess.”

So what style of hardcore will the Colonel be bringing to the table? From what we’ve heard the Colonel has been hugely inspired by the powering rise of Sefa recently whilst being naturally drawn to the only people greasier than his food, the powerhouse that is Greazy Puzzy Fuckerz. Expect a huge helping of KFC references to be thrown in the mix for a style they are calling French”Fry”Core.

If you missed out on Colonel Sanders debut at Ultra Music Festival you can catch a glimpse in the clip below, we can’t wait to see what his secret herbs and spices can bring to the hardcore genre.

We’ll keep you updated with more stories from around the rave scene as they unfold.
