Over the weekend at Excalibur in the Netherlands it seems a practical joke didn’t go quite as planned as Rawstyle duo Warfist played the same song on repeat for their entire hour-long set but nobody seemed to notice.
The well-known event saw the duo playing to a 5000 strong crowd alongside some of the best international Rawstyle talents that the scene has to offer.
“I mean people joke that all Rawstyle sounds the same but this was kind of just sad” said the duo. “We just went up on stage and put Brutal 16.0 on repeat for the whole hour then jumped around with a few beers. We were expecting to get called out on it but instead people came up at the end saying it was the best set they’ve ever heard. The organiser even booked us straight onto another gig.”
“Their set was amazing, they played so many awesome new tracks” said Trent Adlay, long time attendee of Excalibur. “I hope they recorded it so I can listen to it over and over again. It was some of the best mixing I’ve ever heard and their track selection was great. I’ve never gabbered harder in my life.”
Since the event, Warfist has received constant praise for their set and decided they’ll continue playing the same song on repeat. At the end of the day they are just giving rawstyle fans what they want, the brutalest kicks and screeches that they can make.
